What is Consider?
Consider is a campus publication that covers different perspectives on relevant and sometimes contentious topics, seeking out writers from different perspectives and walks of life. What attracted me to apply to join Consider was its unique visual designs and illustrative covers that stood out from the almost sterile looking magazines elsewhere on campus.

Taking my art style and inventing dynamic new ways to represent old topics
I learned a lot during my time at Consider. I wanted to continue the publication's strong visual aesthetic. My art style evolved and developed during my time at Consider, especially as I took on a leadership position as the Creative Director at the publication. Below is some of my favorite covers I've illustrated over the years.

Coordinating a design team to design and publish issues
I've been leading Consider's design team to put together issues and booklets. The pipeline process involves working with the publication team to obtain and edit each article. While the publication team is obtaining writers and choosing articles, the design team brainstorms and illustrates both front and back cover concepts reflecting larger topic of the issue. When the article topics are solidified, interior illustrations are created to express and add to the text. Ultimately, all assets and copy are sent to me and I compile and edit details such as last minute typos, awkward spacing and ill fitting colors.
Here are just some of the issues I've creatively directed, edited, and assembled over the years.
